Marrakech


Almost in the center of Morocco, 580 kilometers south of Tangiers, 327 kilometers southwest of Rabat and 246 km north-east of Agadir, is the beautiful city of Marrakech. Also known as the Red City, Marrakech is the fourth largest city in size after the capital of Morocco, Fez and Casablanca.

This lively and charming, has a wonderful Medina, and its heart is the Djemaa el Fna square where they meet acrobats, snake charmers, dancers, musicians, comedians and storytellers.

Marrakech is the most important of the imperial cities: founded in the mid-year 1000, over the centuries has been influenced by Andalusian style to which they are as the sandstone walls that surround the city and many buildings.

Marrakech is also a hub for commerce between Morocco and the labyrinthine streets of the Medina you will find about 20 souq to walk around and see the many goods for sale, from berber carpet to wool hats, from spices to baskets, passing through several objects local crafts.

In the modern part of the city, the Ville Nouvelle, you will find pleasant outdoor cafes, luxury boutiques, numerous gardens and avenues that are associated with architectural projects in France.

The population of Marrakech is known for its hospitality, good humor and honesty. The food is great and you can enjoy the best of traditional Moroccan cuisine on every corner of the city where there are numerous kiosks and restaurants. The Medina of Marrakech is the place where you will find restaurants, French-style bistro and a large part of the premises.

The Atlas mountains that lie behind the city mean that summers in Marrakech are moist and warm and cold winters with precipitation, also at snowy.

To reach the town red, you can fly from several Italian airports, Pisa, Rome Ciampino, Milan and Bologna among others, to the airport of Marrakesh, located 4 kilometers from the southwest side of the city. The airport also offers domestic flights to Casablanca and Agadir.
