What to see if you go to Tangier in Morocco


There are many things to do in Tangier, charming and magical city in rapid development, including not miss the Medina, a labyrinth of winding streets on the hill overlooking the harbor where there is a Kasbah in 1600 overlooking the old town and which stands on top of a cliff overlooking the sea.

Built in the kitchens of Dar El Makhzen, the Sultan's Palace, the Museum of Moroccan Arts, is full of beautiful mosaics and bronze statues excavated from Roman archaeological sites and houses works of art from various places including some Korans illuminated manuscripts, textiles, wood and metal inlays, Berber carpets, jewelry and ceramics. The Museum of the American Legation, which displays beautiful examples of art from the seventeenth century to the present day, the top floor has a glass wall that allows visitors a 360 degree view.

The Garn Socco is a huge market where you can find great products of Moroccan and much more. Here you will also find Mendoubia Gardens, the home of a Banyan tree over 800 years.

At the heart of the Ville Nouvelle of Tangier is the Place de France with its many nightclubs, bars and restaurants is the ideal destination for lovers of entertainment and shopping.

Just outside Tangiers, 14 kilometers west of the city, in an area called Cap Spartel, are the Caves of Hercules, a place of great beauty and archaeological importance. The beaches are another major tourist attraction in Tangier, especially those of Asilah, Larache, and Moulay Bousselham.
